„Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Awesome Mix Vol. 3“ (Kurzvorstellung des Soundtracks)
Am 05. Mai 2023 erschienen ist der Original Motion Picture Soundtrack zu Marvel Studios‘ „Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Awesome Mix Vol. 3“, welcher mit Beiträgen von Acts wie Alice Cooper , Beastie Boys, Earth, Wind and Fire , The Flaming Lips, Radiohead oder Bruce Springsteen aufwartet.
Auf dem Soundtrack zum US-amerikanischen Science-Fiction-Actionfilm „Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3“ (der Film läuft hierzulande seit dem 3. Mai in den Kinos), welcher unter der Ägide von James Gunn entstanden ist, finden sich insgesamt 17 Songs, die sich als eklektische Mixtur aus bekannteren und unbekannteren Songs präsentieren.
Einige der Highlights des Soundtracks sind definitiv Songs wie der energiegeladene Folk Pop-Track „Dog Days Are Over“ der britischen Formation Florence and the Machine, welcher im Original auf deren Debütalbum „Lungs“ aus dem Jahre 2009 zu finden ist, Bruce Springsteens Rock-Hymne „Badlands“ (1978) aus dem Album „Darkness On The Edge Of Town“, der verträumt-atmosphärische Indie Pop-Track „Do You Realize??“ (The Flaming Lips), welcher Teil des Albums „Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots“ (2002) ist, die Akustik-Version der Radiohead-Debütsingle „Creep“ (VÖ: 21.09.1992) oder der entspannt-lässige Feel Good-Song „Come and Get Your Love“ (Redbone), welcher es 1974 bis auf Platz 5 der US-Single-Charts schaffte.
Erhältlich ist der facettenreiche Soundtrack übrigens in den folgenden Formaten: als digitaler Download-Release (bereits seit dem 03.05.), auf CD und auf 12″ 2-LP-Vinyl. Am 07. Juli soll noch eine Kassetten-Version folgen.
Nicht unerwähnt möchte ich lassen, dass der Longplayer „Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Original Score“ mit Musik des Komponisten John Murphy („The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special“, „Suicide Squad“) bereits seit dem 3.05.2023 digital erhältlich ist.
